About

I am a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of British Columbia, Canada, holding positions across the Motor Skills Lab (MSL) in the School of Kinesiology and the Neuroplasticity, Imagery, and Motor Behaviour Laboratory (NIMBL) in the Department of Psychology. Between these two labs I work with Dr. Nicola Hodges (MSL) and Dr. Sarah Kraeutner (NIMBL) conducting behavioural and neuroscientific research investigating perception and action; namely through action observation and motor imagery.
I completed my PhD in Sport and Exercise (Psychology) at Teesside University, UK, in 2021 under the supervision of Dr. Daniel Eaves. My thesis investigated imitation in children both with and without developmental coordination disorder and the efficacy of independent - and combined - action observation and motor imagery to enhance imitation.

Prior to my appointment at the University of British Columbia, I completed postdoctoral training at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK, working with Dr. David Wright (September 2020 - 2022). Here I worked as a postdoctoral research associate investigating the efficacy of combined action observation and motor imagery as a home-based intervention to improve activities of daily living in children with developmental coordination disorder.
